Job summary

Eaton's Critical Power Projects team is seeking an Application Engineer for a fully remote role with up to 10% travel. The position is open to candidates residing in Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.

You will interpret project specs, develop technical solutions, assist Sales with UPS system proposals, and ensure accurate Bills of Material for projects up to $2M, coordinating with Sales, Project Management,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with relevant experience.
5+ years of experience in electrical contractor estimating / proposal writing / application engineering for UPS systems.

Responsibilities

Interpret project specifications and drawings to develop technical solutions and assist Sales with UPS proposals and Bills of Materials.
Lead development of project proposals, cost estimates, pricing, schedules, and values for projects up to $2M, coordinating with stakeholders.
Act as the primary technical liaison between customers, UPS manufacturers, Sales, and Project Operations; perform site visits as needed to capture requirements and scope.
