Job summary

Eaton Corporation in the United States is seeking an Application Engineer for a fully remote role with up to 10% travel. Lead technical proposals, assist Sales with UPS system bids, and ensure accurate Bills of Materials for Critical Power projects.

Prepare cost estimates, pricing schedules, and milestone billing plans for projects up to $2M, coordinating with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations to obtain approvals. Maintain project records and support handoffs to execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 1 year experience in electrical contractor estimating / proposal writing, application engineering, UPS and power distribution field experience.
• Or Associate's degree and minimum 3 years' experience in electrical contractor estimating / proposal writing, application engineering, UPS and power distribution field experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience in electrical contractor estimating / proposal writing, UPS and power distribution equipment or related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project specifications and drawings to develop technical solutions and assist Sales with UPS system proposals and Bills of Materials.
• Prepare and lead development of project proposals, cost estimates, pricing schedules, schedules of values, and milestone billing plans for projects up to $2M.
