Job summary

The Critical Power Projects team at Eaton is seeking an Application Engineer for a fully remote position with travel up to 10%. This role supports customers across multiple states in developing UPS system proposals and Bills of Materials for equipment-only and turnkey projects.

You will lead the creation of proposals, cost estimates, pricing schedules, timing milestones, and value plans, collaborating with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Operations, Risk Management, and others to secure

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher with UPS/ power distribution field experience.
Experience in electrical contractor estimating / proposal writing.
FIVE+ years experience in UPS systems or related field (if no degree).

Responsibilities

Interpret project specs and drawings to develop technical solutions and prepare Bills of Materials.
Lead development of project proposals, cost estimates, pricing schedules, and milestone plans for projects up to $2M.
Serve as technical liaison between customers, manufacturers, Sales and Project Operations; conduct site visits as needed (up to 10% travel).
Review orders and project docs for accuracy; coordinate handoff activities and prepare submittals.
