Job summary

Eaton's Critical Power Projects team is seeking an Application Engineer. This fully remote role travels up to 10% and supports customers across multiple states, developing technical solutions and preparing project proposals for UPS systems up to $2M.

You will liaise with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations to ensure accurate Bills of Material, schedules, and milestone billing. The role emphasizes collaboration, cost estimates, and risk management, with a focus on delivering

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering/technical field and 1+ years experience in electrical contractor estimating/proposal writing, UPS systems.
Associate’s degree with 3+ years experience in estimating/proposal writing for UPS systems.
5+ years experience in estimating/proposal writing or application engineering on UPS systems without a degree.

Responsibilities

Interpret project specifications to develop technical solutions and assist with UPS system proposals.
Lead development of proposals, cost estimates, pricing, and billing plans for projects up to $2M.
Serve as primary technical liaison between customers, UPS manufacturers, Sales, and Project Operations; include site visits as needed.
Review orders and project documentation; coordinate handoff to execution and maintain records.
