Job summary

Harness is seeking an AppSec Sales Engineer in a remote role with a strong preference for the San Francisco Bay Area. The role bridges sales and engineering, delivering technical demonstrations and driving security evaluations across the SDLC, including API and AI security workflows.

You will articulate the value of the Harness AI-Native DevSecOps platform to executive, business, and technical audiences, supporting customers through evaluations and ensuring successful adoption of AppSec

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer supporting SaaS/software sales in the DevSecOps or Cybersecurity domain.
• Hands-on experience with modern application security practices and tools (e.g., API Security, AI Security, SAST, DAST, SCA).
• Appreciation for cloud-native application security and GenAI risks.
• Willingness to travel for customer engagements, internal meetings, or trade shows/conferences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver world-class platform presentations and demos focused on Application Security Testing and Runtime Protection as part of the larger DevSecOps landscape.
• Evangelize the benefits of the Harness AI-Native DevSecOps platform, highlighting its AppSec and API/AI Security capabilities, including SCA, SAST, DAST, and runtime protection.
• Connect business security risks and compliance problems to technical solutions within the end-to-end DevSecOps pipeline.
• Drive complex technical engagements, such as workshops and POVs, to prove Harness's value across the SDLC from code to operation, including API and AI workflows.
