Job summary

Overview.ai is seeking a results-driven Business Development Representative to drive outbound sales for manufacturing customers across the United States. This remote role blends top-tier prospecting with deep product understanding of AI vision in real-world manufacturing.

You will own account maps, qualify opportunities, and hand off to Vision Sales Engineers, while building automations and tools to remove repetitive work.

Qualifications

• Prior outbound sales experience (BDR, SDR, inside sales, or equivalent).
• Strong phone skills and outbound instincts.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and figuring things out quickly.
• High curiosity and willingness to learn technical concepts.
• Ability to ask good questions and think critically about opportunity fit.
• Organized, reliable, and accountable.
• Based in the United States with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands on use of AI tools in your work, and examples of something you built with them.

Responsibilities

• Identify manufacturing prospects across the United States: automotive suppliers, electronics manufacturers, industrial OEMs, food and beverage manufacturers, and other high volume production environments.
• Map the account and determine plants, what each makes, and key stakeholders, planning expansion across facilities.
• Map the decision makers (Quality Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, Operations Lead) and tailor outreach based on inspection challenges solved for similar companies.
• Lead with curiosity to uncover blockers and understand why inspection is hard for them.
• Qualify ruthlessly; focus on high-quality opportunities and provide clean, actionable insights to the team.
• Partner with Vision Sales Engineers to hand off meaningful use cases and learn what worked.
