Job summary

Kendall Hunt Publishing is seeking an Acquisitions Sales Representative to build partnerships with college professors. This is a remote role with about seven weeks of overnight travel per semester, alternating between home and campus weeks.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree and excels at relationship building, communication, and sales. You will identify opportunities, interview professors, and persuade authors to join Kendall Hunt’s publishing program on campuses in PA and MD.

Qualifications

• Interview, listen for business potential, and persuade candidates to partner with Kendall Hunt.
• Willingness to travel up to 7 weeks per semester on overnight trips.
• Experience developing partnerships with colleges or universities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Call and travel to colleges and universities to identify business opportunities.
• Interview professors and persuade author candidates to join Kendall Hunt.
• Develop lasting partnerships with college faculty and administration.
• Work territory in PA or MD regions including Towson.
