Charter Impact is a remote-first organization supporting mission-driven clients with finance, operations, and business management. We seek an Accounts Payable Associate to deliver front-line AP support to clients, document vendor data, process invoices, and manage check runs.

This role emphasizes accuracy, client service, and adherence to guidelines. The position is remote for candidates across the United States, with focus on supporting clients and maintaining strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Accounts payable experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to learn nonprofit accounting rules and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounts payable duties with accuracy to maintain vendor relations.
• Ensure invoices are approved by proper client personnel.
• Verify cash availability and perform payment selections.
• Process weekly check runs and maintain vendor files.
• Prepare data entry and GL coding for multiple entities.
• Generate AP aging and weekly check registers.
• Maintain recurring payments and lease schedules.
• Respond to client inquiries via email and phone.
