Charter Impact is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to provide front-line client support across multiple channels. You will document information for new vendors, process invoices, and maintain accurate general ledger coding for multiple entities.

This remote-first role is open to candidates nationwide, with a strong emphasis on detail, communication, and professional collaboration to support nonprofit clients and their communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2 years related experience, or bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or related field.
• Accounts payable experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of financial record-keeping and accrual accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or other nonprofit accounting systems is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform accounts payable duties with accuracy and timeliness to maintain positive vendor relations.
• Approve invoices with proper client personnel.
• Verify cash availability and perform payment selections.
• Void checks and reissue payments as needed.
• Prepare rush payments and maintain GL coding for invoices.
• Generate AP aging and weekly check registers for clients.
• Maintain recurring payments and leases and ensure timely payment.
• Notify clients of vendor discrepancies and ensure follow-ups.
• Respond to inquiries related to AP and expense reports.
• Assist in year-end audit schedule preparation.
