Job summary

Charter Impact is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to provide front-line client support and manage invoice processing, GL coding, vendor set-up, and weekly check runs for multiple entities. This remote-first role serves clients nationwide.

As part of the AP team, you will ensure timely payments, maintain audit trails, resolve discrepancies, and support year-end processes. Candidates should have a high school diploma or degree in business/accounting and proficiency with Excel; nonprofit

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher in business/Accounting required.
• Accounts payable experience preferred.
• Proficient with Excel and basic accounting principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a remote team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounts payable duties with accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure invoices are approved by proper client personnel.
• Verify cash availability and select payments.
• Maintain vendor files and GL coding for invoices.
• Process weekly check runs and audit trails.
