Job summary

Charter Impact is a remote-first nonprofit-focused firm supporting mission-driven organizations with finance and operations services. The Accounts Payable Associate will deliver front-line client support, process invoices, manage vendor setup, and ensure accurate general ledger coding across multiple entities.

The role requires strong attention to detail, Excel proficiency, and the ability to work remotely from various U.S. states.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and two years of related experience, or a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, public administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Accounts payable experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of financial and accounting record-keeping practices and accrual accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounts payable duties with accuracy and timeliness to maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Ensure invoices are approved by proper client personnel.
• Prepare rush payments and manage checks and disbursements.
• Maintain vendor files, GL coding, and distribution codes across multiple entities.
• Generate AP aging and weekly check registers for clients.
