Job summary

Charter Impact, a remote-first nonprofit-focused organization, is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to deliver front-line support to clients and manage invoices, vendor setup, and weekly check runs. You will document information for new vendors, determine general ledger accounts, and maintain vendor files in a fast-paced environment.

This role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and exceptional customer service across multiple client entities.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and two years of related experience, or a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, public administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Accounts payable experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic accrual accounting principles and procedures.
• Knowledge of the use of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounts payable duties with accuracy and timeliness to maintain positive vendor relations.
• Verify availability of cash and perform payment selections.
• Produce accurate data entry and GL coding for invoices.
• Generate accounts payable aging and weekly check registers for clients.
• Maintain recurring payments schedules and ensure timely payment.
