Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Absence Advocate to join the Absence & Accommodations team. You will manage and coordinate absence, accommodation, and workers' compensation cases across North America, partnering with TPAs and HR Business Partners.

The role supports FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and related benefits, requiring strong knowledge of leave programs and data reporting. Hybrid work in the Eastern/Central time zones is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, healthcare administration, business management, or related discipline and 2 years of related experience in absence management, leave administration, or accommodations.
• Strong knowledge of self-funded and fully insured disability benefit programs and ERISA guidelines.
• Practical application of core leave and accommodation programs (FMLA, ADA, PWFA).
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and HRIS/leave systems such as Workday, AbsenceTracker, Service Station, UKG/Kronos.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support approximately 100 active leave and accommodation cases concurrently.
• Coordinate with TPAs, HRBP, and stakeholders to ensure timely case progression.
• Support FMLA, ADA, PWFA, workers' compensation, and related leave programs.
• Monitor FMLA lifecycle and coordinate return-to-work activities.
• Communicate case updates via phone, chat, and email within SLAs.
