Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Absence Advocate to manage leave, accommodations, and related benefits across North America. The role collaborates with TPAs, HR partners, and business stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant case management and strong employee advocacy.

The position supports FMLA, ADA, PWFA, workers' compensation, and related transitions, with a focus on accurate documentation, SLAs, and a robust data-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, healthcare administration, business, or related field with 2 years of absence management experience.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA and related regulations.
• Experience with HRIS and case management systems.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.
• Ability to work remotely outside Atlanta for other locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support approximately 100 active leave and accommodation cases concurrently.
• Partner with TPAs, HR Business Partners, and stakeholders for case management.
• Support US and Canada employee populations with applicable requirements.
• Coordinate with TPAs in a shared administration model and monitor activity.
• Identify and escalate complex, risk-sensitive cases to stakeholders.
• Handle escalated inquiries and coordinate return-to-work activities.
• Coordinate ADA and PWFA accommodations with HR and cross-functional teams.
• Administer and track administrative leave statuses and payroll alignment.
• Coordinate DOT/FMCSA unpaid administrative leave workflows and RTW readiness.
