Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Absence Advocate to join the Absence & Accommodations team. This role supports FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and workers' compensation across North America, partnering with TPAs, HR Business Partners, and business stakeholders.

The position handles 100 active cases, communicates via phone, chat, and email, and ensures timely, compliant outcomes. Remote work is possible within Eastern/Central time zones, with Atlanta, GA as a preferred hybrid location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience in absence management or accommodations.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and workers' compensation.
• Experience with HRIS and case management systems.
• Knowledge of ERISA and leave regulations.
• Ability to travel up to 15% and remote work availability.
• Ability to work across US and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Manage ~100 active leave and accommodation cases concurrently.
• Coordinate with TPAs, HRBPs, and stakeholders; be the employee advocate.
• Support FMLA lifecycle and return-to-work processes.
• Handle inbound/outbound communications via phone, chat, and email.
• Escalate complex cases to leadership when needed.
• Prepare and review data and dashboards for performance insight.
