Job summary

CONTACT Care Line seeks a remote Crisis Counselor for full-time, 40 hours weekly. Shifts are 8.5 hours long and require both weekend days. You will assess suicide risk, provide compassionate support, document interactions, and collaborate with visitors to create safety plans.

You’ll respond to 988 chat, text, and phone interactions and follow clinical policies across shifts. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Social Work or related field (or equivalent), at least 1 year in mental health, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in social work or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year in mental health, crisis intervention, or related field.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must not be a current or recent client of CONTACT Care Line crisis program.
• Willingness to complete CONTACT Crisis Counselor Basic Training within two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to 988 chat, text, and telephone interactions promptly.
• Assess suicide risk and provide safety planning and referrals as needed.
• Document all visitor interactions accurately per procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational guidelines.
• Collaborate with visitors to create and implement safety plans.
