Job summary

CONTACT Care Line is seeking a fully remote Crisis Counselor for a full-time role. All shifts are 8.5 hours long, with weekend days required. You will provide 988 crisis support via chat, text, and phone, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to policy.

Responsibilities include assessing suicide risk, documenting interactions, following clinical protocols, and coordinating safety plans with visitors. A strong emphasis on compassionate, nonjudgmental support is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field or 120 credits.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in mental health or crisis intervention.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Respond to 988 chat, text, and telephone interactions in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Assess and mitigate suicide risk using established protocols and safety planning procedures.
• Provide referrals to appropriate community resources as needed.
• Accurately document all visitor interactions in accordance with organizational procedures.
