Job summary

Guidant Financial is hiring a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to learn the full process of administering, testing, and reporting on 401(k) plans. You will review client documents, update them on progress, and help with year-end reporting and Form 5500 filings.

Through accelerated learning and hands-on practice, you will progress from document review to administering basic plans, while supporting clients and growing with the company’s remote work culture.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing
• 1 to 5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k)/IRA) preferred
• Experience with reconciliation as daily responsibility preferred
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in business/finance (or equivalent) preferred
• Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations preferred

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information to prepare annual reporting
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software
• Use software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting
• Make outgoing reminder calls and send emails during plan year reporting
• Prepare 401(k) government filings including IRS Form 5500
• Educate clients on administration of their 401(k) plan
