Job summary

Guidant Financial offers a fully remote role for a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist. You will learn the full process of administering, testing, and reporting on 401(k) plans, with accelerated training and practical experience to progress from document review to basic plan administration.

You will review client-submitted documents, keep clients updated, and help with year-end filings, including Form 5500, using filing software.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing in a back-office setting.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business/finance or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, IRS/DOL regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information for annual reporting.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Complete 401(k) testing and reporting with administration software.
• Prepare government filings including IRS Form 5500.
• Educate clients on administration of their 401(k) plan and related documents.
