Job summary

Guidant Financial is hiring a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to learn and execute the full process of administering, testing, and reporting on 401(k) plans. You will review client documents, ensure accuracy, and support year-end filings including Form 5500, while advancing through structured training and practical experience in a fully remote environment.

You will support clients nationwide, with emphasis on accurate reconciliation, testing, and documentation using our administration

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing
• 1 to 5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience preferred (401(k)/IRA administration, 5500 or year-end reporting)
• Experience with reconciliation as a daily job responsibility preferred
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in business/finance or equivalent work experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations preferred

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information for annual reporting
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software
• Use administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting
• Make reminder calls and send emails to clients during reporting
• Prepare 401(k) filings including IRS Form 5500
• Educate clients about 401(k) plan administration
