Job summary

Guidant Financial is hiring a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist for a fully remote role. You will learn the full process of administering, testing and reporting on 401(k) plans, progressing from document review to basic plan administration with accelerated on-the-job training.

You will review client-submitted documents, keep clients updated, and help with year-end reporting and Form 5500 filings. Strong Excel/Outlook skills and a finance background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in document review and transaction processing
• 1–5 years in adjacent back-office financial operations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k)/IRA admin, 5500 or year-end reporting) preferred
• Experience with reconciliation as a daily job responsibility preferred
• Associate or Bachelor's in business/finance or equivalent work experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of 401(k) structure, ROBS, IRS/DOL regs preferred

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information for annual reporting
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software
• Complete 401(k) testing and reporting with filing software
• Make reminder calls and emails to clients during plan year reporting
• Prepare 401(k) filings including IRS Form 5500
• Educate clients on retirement plan administration
