Guidant Financial is hiring a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to join our remote team. You will learn the full lifecycle of administering, testing, and reporting on 401(k) plans while working with clients nationwide.

Accelerated training and practical experience will help you advance from document review to handling basic plan administrations. You will review documents, keep clients updated on progress, and assist with year-end filings and IRS Form 5500.

Qualifications

• Experience in document review and transaction processing.
• 1–5 years in back-office financial operations (benefits, money movement, tax prep, loans, compliance).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with 401(k) or IRA administration and year-end reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain information from clients to prepare annual reporting.
• Review client documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Perform 401(k) testing and reporting via administration tools.
• Make reminder calls and send emails to clients during the year-end process.
• Prepare IRS Form 5500 filings using filing software.
• Educate clients on 401(k) plan administration.
