Recruiter I - University
Location: Seattle, Washington (Onsite, 5 days/week)
Compensation: $26 - $36 HOURLY
Role Overview
This role involves managing the full recruitment lifecycle. The individual will recruit, interview, check references, extend offers, and conduct orientation for new employees. The position also includes performing exit interviews and processing changes in employee status. This role requires strong tactical execution capabilities in offers and onboarding functions with clear process adherence and the ability to work independently within a defined scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and interview potential candidates.
- Conduct reference checks for applicants.
- Prepare and extend employment offers.
- Conduct orientation for new employees.
- Perform exit interviews and process changes related to employee status.
- Execute defined processes with high accuracy and minimal supervision.
- Manage candidate onboarding workflows with attention to detail.
- Follow and document processes consistently.
- Communicate status updates and issues clearly to team leads.
- Adhere to pre-established guidelines and work under immediate supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's degree in a related area of specialty may be required.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area is required.
Skills
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the recruiting field.
- Strong written communication skills for candidate and stakeholder interactions.
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate required systems and tools.
- Comfort with data entry, spreadsheets, and basic reporting.
- Ability to identify and elevate blockers appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in specific areas such as immigration, relocation, screening, or IT logistics.
- Experience with compliance or regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with broader recruiting or HR processes.
- Comfort working with multiple business lines or geographies.
- Ability to identify process improvements or inefficiencies.
- Willingness to learn new processes or business lanes as needed.
