Job summary

Savista is seeking a Pro Fee Coder to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS codes for various patient types. The role requires an AHIMA or AAPC credential and at least two years of coding experience.

Responsibilities include validating APC/E/M coding, abstracting data, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA/AAPC credential required (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCA or CPC/COC etc).
• Two years of recent coding experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding sets.
• Ability to maintain 95% quality threshold.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types.
• Review facility records to ensure accurate APC and E/M coding.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses, procedures and discharge disposition.
• Serve as a resource for client staff on coding practices and queries.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in client and Savista meetings and trainings.
• Stay current on ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS coding guidelines and regulations.
• Pursue continuing education to maintain credentials.
