Job summary

Two years of hands-on coding experience and active AHIMA or AAPC credentials are required. Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, and MS Office is essential, with strong problem-solving and communication skills valued.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential required (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCA or CPC/CPC-H).
• Two years of hands-on coding experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS code sets.
• Ability to code at 95% accuracy while meeting production/quality standards.
• Proficient MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types.
• Review facility records to ensure accurate APC assignments and E/M codes.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and procedures.
• Collaborate with client staff for data integrity and compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in client and Savista meetings and trainings.
• Stay updated on ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, regulations.
• Pursue continuing education to maintain credentials.
