Job summary

Savista is seeking a Pro Fee Coder to review clinical documentation and assign diagnostic and procedural codes for hospital, clinic, and physician services. The role involves validation of APC calculations and ensuring accurate data abstraction while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Ideal candidates will hold an AHIMA or AAPC credential and have at least two years of coding experience, with strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, and coding guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA credential (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCA) or active AAPC credential (COC/CCS-P/CPC)
• Two years of recent and relevant hands-on coding experience
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding sets

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types.
• Review facility records to ensure APC assignments reflect diagnoses/procedures.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses, procedures and disposition.
• Maintain patient/provider confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in client and Savista staff meetings and trainings.
