Job summary

Savista is seeking a Pro Fee Coder II to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for hospital and physician billing. You will validate APC calculations and ensure accurate abstracting of clinical data to meet regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include coding various patient types, reviewing records for accuracy, maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA, and staying current with coding guidelines. Collaboration with client staff and Savista teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential.
• Two years of hands-on coding experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, pathophysiology, and ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS.
• Proficiency with ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS and coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for hospital, clinic, and other designated patient types.
• Review facility records to ensure APC and E/M coding reflect documented diagnoses/procedures.
• Abstract clinical data from records to support diagnoses and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in client and Savista staff meetings, trainings, and calls.
• Stay current with ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, and coding guidelines.
