Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment skills assessment.
• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential is required (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, COC, CCS-P, CPC).
• Minimum two years of hands-on coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types.
• Review facility records to ensure accurate APC assignments and E/M codes.
• Abstract and verify clinical data to support diagnoses and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Interact with client staff to ensure data integrity and compliant coding practices.
