Job summary

Savista seeks a Pro Fee Coder II to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for hospital and professional fee billing. You will validate APC calculations and ensure accurate abstraction of data to meet regulatory requirements.

The role requires passing a pre-employment skills assessment and holding AHIMA or AAPC credentials. You will work with client staff, maintain confidentiality, and stay current with coding guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential required (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, COC, CCS-P, CPC or equivalent).
• Two years of recent coding experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Ability to code at 95% quality while meeting productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types.
• Review facility records to ensure APC assignments and E/M codes are accurate.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines and interact with client staff.
