Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCA or CPC/COC) required.
• Two years of hands-on coding experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS.
• Ability to code at 95% quality while meeting production standards.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types.
• Review facility records to ensure APC/E&M codes reflect documentation.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and procedures.
• Maintain patient/provider confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Collaborate with client staff for data integrity and coding guidance.
