Job summary

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCA) or AAPC (COC/CCS-P/CPC/CPC-H) credential required.
• Two years of recent coding experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS code sets.
• Ability to code at 95% accuracy while meeting standards.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for various patient types.
• Review facility records to ensure accurate APC and E/M coding.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPPA guidelines.
• Participate in client and Savista meetings and trainings.
• Keep up-to-date with coding guidelines and regulations.
