Job summary

Savista, LLC is seeking a Pro Fee Coder to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS codes for hospital and physician billing, ensuring accurate data extraction for reimbursement.

The role requires AHIMA/AAPC credentials, at least two years of coding experience, strong medical terminology knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office. Candidates must meet production and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA/AAPC credential required (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, COC, CCS-P, or CPC)
• Two years of recent and relevant hands-on coding experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and disease processes; ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS knowledge
• Ability to code accurately at a 95% quality threshold while meeting production standards
• Proficient using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data entry

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS codes for various patient types (hospital, clinic, pro fee)
• Review facility records to ensure APC assignments reflect documentation
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses, procedures, and discharge disposition
• Utilize resources and assist client staff with data integrity and compliant coding practices
• Maintain patient/provider confidentiality per HIPAA
• Participate in client and Savista meetings and trainings
• Stay current with ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, coding rules, and regulatory requirements
• Engage in continuing education to maintain credentials
