Job summary

Savista, a healthcare revenue cycle partner, seeks a Pro Fee Coder to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for hospital and physician billing. The role emphasizes accuracy and HIPAA compliance in a client-facing environment.

The coder will work with client staff, maintain coding standards, and stay current with ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS guidelines. AHIMA/AAPC credentials and 2 years of coding experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment skills assessment.
• Active AHIMA credential (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCA) or AAPC credential (COC/CCS-P/CPC) or related specialty credential.
• Two years of recent coding experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding systems.
• Ability to code at a 95% quality threshold and meet production standards.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types.
• Review facility records to ensure accurate APC and E/M coding.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and procedures.
• Collaborate with client staff for data integrity and coding guidance.
• Maintain patient and provider confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in client and Savista staff meetings and trainings.
• Stay updated on ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, and regulatory changes.
• Pursue continuing education to maintain credentials.
