Twilio is seeking a Principal Presales Engineer for the DACH region. This remote role enables customers to build the future of communications by leading technical discovery, proposing architectures, and delivering compelling product demonstrations.

You’ll drive technical wins with strategic customers and mentor junior engineers. You will engage senior executives and customer engineers alike, sketch API flows, and craft solutions leveraging Twilio’s APIs across complex deployments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years pre-sales experience selling complex, technical products or 10+ years of professional experience supporting technical products with customer-facing experience
• Excellent communicator and presenter able to gain audience confidence
• Engaging storyteller to communicate complex topics to multiple audience levels
• Ability to understand a customer’s communications needs and guide to a technical solution
• Backend languages: Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP
• Web development: JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, Vue.js, Angular
• Experience building with REST APIs
• Experience in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Proficient German speaker

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to execute pre-sales activities including qualification, demonstrations, PoC, RFP, design docs, and enablement sessions
• Lead the technical and product sale, recommend best-practice solutions and guide customers on using Twilio APIs
• Establish yourself as a trusted advisor by understanding customer pains and designing innovative solutions
• Build and present highly interactive product demonstrations to showcase Twilio’s capabilities and strengthen customer relationships
• Be hands-on, high-energy, creative problem solver and lead others to success
• Identify and solve problems for customers and the organization as we grow
• Contribute to the Presales Engineering community via knowledge sharing and reusable demos
• Mentor less experienced Presales Engineers
