Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Principal Presales Engineer for its ISV team. This remote role focuses on leading technical pre-sales engagements, designing architectures, and delivering product demonstrations to customers including executives and engineers.

You'll work autonomously within the Solutions Engineering organization, mentor others, and collaborate with product and sales teams to drive revenue. Travel about 25% and base pay varies by location.

Qualifications

• 8+ years pre-sales experience selling complex, technical products or 10+ years of professional experience supporting technical products with customer facing experience
• Excellent communicator and presenter able to gain audience confidence
• An engaging storyteller who can communicate complex topics to multiple levels of audience
• Ability to build a deep understanding of a customer’s communications needs and guide them to a technical solution
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud application architecture

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to execute pre-sales activities including opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP, design documentation, and enablement sessions
• Lead technical discovery, propose technical architectures, demonstrate the product, and build customer trust in Twilio’s solutions
• Engage with customers from CEO to software engineers, sketching API flows and guiding technical decisions
• Deliver highly interactive product demonstrations and coordinate with other Twilio teams such as product
• Mentor less experienced Solutions Engineers and contribute to reusable materials and knowledge sharing
