Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Principal Presales Engineer to drive the technical win for New Business Communications. You will lead pre-sales architectures, demonstrations, and customer engagements, working autonomously across medium to large opportunities.

You will partner with Account Executives and solutions engineers, presenting complex demos, guiding customers to technical solutions, and contributing to the broader engineering community. This remote role offers travel and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years in a solutions engineering (presales) role, or 10+ years in supporting technical products with customer-facing experience.
• Excellent communicator and presenter able to gain audience confidence.
• Ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions and architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Experience in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to execute pre-sales activities including opportunity qualification, demonstrations, PoC, RFPs, design documentation and enablement sessions.
• Lead technical discovery sessions with customers to uncover needs and challenges and demonstrate capability to address them.
• Build and present compelling presentations and product demos showcasing Twilio Communications Products.
• Establish yourself as a trusted advisor by introducing innovative solutions and architectures.
• Contribute to the Solutions Engineering community through knowledge sharing and reusable materials.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams on architectural decisions and technical design.
