Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Principal Presales Engineer to empower our ISV segment. You will drive technical discovery, design architectures, and lead product demonstrations, engaging with executives and engineers alike.

The role requires autonomy, leadership across the Solutions Engineering team, and collaboration with product and other Twilio groups. You will mentor less experienced engineers, own the technical side of opportunities, and help customers achieve the best product fit through compelling

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in pre-sales or ten+ years in customer-facing technical roles.
• Excellent communicator with strong presenting skills.
• Engaging storyteller capable of simplifying complex topics for varied audiences.
• Ability to understand a customer’s communications needs and map to a technical solution.
• Previous software development experience or familiarity with telecom domains.
• Experience with sales methodologies and enterprise deals.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to lead pre-sales activities and enablement.
• Lead technical discovery, design architectures, and deliver product demonstrations.
• Establish yourself as a trusted advisor by understanding customer pains and proposing solutions.
• Deliver highly interactive, compelling demos to showcase Twilio’s capabilities to stakeholders.
• Be hands-on, energetic, and capable of guiding others to success.
• Identify and solve problems for customers and the org.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior Solutions Engineers.
