Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Senior Presales Engineer to join its Strategic Communications team. You will lead technical discovery, craft architectures, and deliver compelling product demonstrations, partnering with Account Executives to win opportunities.

The role emphasizes hands-on pre-sales leadership across the deal cycle and requires strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will work in a remote-first environment with occasional in-person gatherings and travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years pre-sales experience selling complex, technical products or 6+ years with customer-facing delivery/consulting experience.
• Excellent communicator and presenter who can gain audience confidence.
• Engaging storyteller who conveys complex topics to multiple levels of audience.
• Ability to understand a customer’s communications needs and guide to a technical solution.
• Previous software development experience or working knowledge in relevant areas.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to execute pre-sales activities including demonstrations, PoC, RFP, design docs, and enablement sessions.
• Lead the technical and product sale, recommend best-practice solutions, and guide customers on Twilio APIs.
• Establish trust by understanding customer pains through discovery and designing innovative solutions.
• Build and present interactive, complex demos to showcase Twilio’s capabilities to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Be a proactive problem solver, lead small-to-medium technical projects with limited oversight.
