Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Albertville, AL, is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to manage production line staff, enforce HACCP/SSOPs and ensure regulatory compliance while meeting productivity goals.

Responsibilities include optimizing operations, coordinating shifts, and mentoring up to 100 employees, with a focus on safety and quality in a fast-paced poultry processing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of manufacturing experience; three years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Leadership experience including scheduling, policy adherence, and coaching.
• Knowledge of timekeeping requirements, safety policies and HACCP/SSOPs.
• Ability to communicate in English, with multi-language skills a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage production line/department by establishing procedures and adjusting as necessary to meet production schedules.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily reporting is accurate (attendance, yields, etc.).
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies.
• Lead planning and implementation of process improvements and monitor metrics.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain food safety and USDA compliance.
• Mentor and train employees; administer performance improvement actions.
• Follow safety initiatives and ensure PPE usage.
• Work with other departments to meet location goals.
• Learn and adhere to current Union negotiated contract (if applicable).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
