Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Decatur, AL is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor for Retail or Further processing. You will supervise up to 100 employees, ensure safety and USDA compliance, and drive productivity on the processing lines.

Strong leadership, English communication, and understanding of HACCP/GMP/SSOP are essential. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, plus preferred associate degree and 1+ year manufacturing experience (3+ years in poultry).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 1+ years in manufacturing; 3+ years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Leadership experience including timekeeping, policy adherence and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage retail or further processing production line/department to meet schedules and budget objectives.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily reporting of attendance, yields and staffing is accurate.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies.
• Lead planning and implementation of process improvements and monitor metrics.
• Partner with Quality Assurance for a food safe environment per USDA guidelines.
• Mentor and train employees; administer performance actions fairly.
• Follow safety initiatives and ensure PPE usage where required.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet location goals.
• Learn and adhere to any applicable Union contract.
