Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to oversee retail and further processing lines, ensuring adherence to USDA, OSHA, HACCP, and company policies while maximizing productivity. You will lead up to 100 staff, coach teams, and drive continuous improvement in throughput and quality.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in manufacturing, and a commitment to food safety. Excellent English communication and collaboration with QA are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires 1 year in a manufacturing setting; 3 years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience including timekeeping, policy adherence, conflict resolution; able to resolve issues efficiently.
• Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations (OSHA, GMP, HACCP).
• Able to communicate in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise retail or further processing production line/department to meet schedules and budgets.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Maintain accurate daily departmental reports and staffing data.
• Partner with QA to ensure food safety and sanitary standards per USDA requirements.
• Mentor and train employees; administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
• Promote safety policies and wear PPE; reduce accidents and injuries.
• Collaborate across shifts/departments to meet location goals.
• Learn and adhere to any applicable union contracts.
