Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in Union Springs, AL, seeks a Poultry Processing Supervisor to lead production line staff, ensure adherence to HACCP, GMP, SSOPs and USDA/OSHA requirements, and maintain customer specifications. You will optimize throughput, mentor teams, manage safety, and coordinate with QA to sustain a sanitary environment while meeting scheduling and budget targets.

This role requires shift flexibility, strong communication, and hands-on leadership in a high-volume poultry processing

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in manufacturing; poultry experience preferred.
• Leadership experience including policy adherence and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of timekeeping requirements and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage production line/department by establishing procedures and adjusting to meet production schedules, increase efficiencies and meet or exceed budget objectives
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics and meet production schedules
• Ensure daily reporting is accurately completed and recorded (attendance, yields, etc.)
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies
• Lead or participate in process improvements and monitor metrics
• Partner with QA to ensure a safe, sanitary environment per USDA requirements
• Mentor and train employees, provide feedback and career development
• Enforce safety policies and wear PPE as required
• Collaborate with other departments to meet location goals
