Job summary
A global infrastructure firm is seeking a Chemical Warfare Material Manager for a remote position in the US. You will lead a team in managing CWM removal projects for federal clients, requiring over 10 years of project management experience, including leadership. AECOM is seeking a Chemical Warfare Material Manager to work remotely within the United States. As Deputy Program and Client Manager for the USACE Huntsville Center, you will lead a team of technical experts in delivering remediation services to federal clients.
- Manage/perform Chemical Warfare Material (CWM) removal under a Fixed‑Price or Cost‑Plus‑Fee contract for USACE
- Develop complex technical approaches and competitive pricing for the identification and removal of CWM and/or traditional munitions
- Prepare CWM workplans, schedules, budgets, and quality plans, and lead field teams during removal actions in the field
- BS/BA in engineering, environmental science, soil science, geology, or a related earth science field
- 10+ years’ experience, including 2 years of leadership, as a Project Manager of federal projects or equivalent
- US citizenship required
- USACE MMRP experience performing CWM remediation operations
- Knowledge of USACE EP 75‑1‑3 and experience in developing/implementing a DDESB‑approved Chemical Safety Submission (CSS) for CWM removal actions
- 5+ years’ experience managing CWM task orders for the USACE Huntsville Center
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects to scope, schedule, and budget
- Knowledge of project financial accounting, reporting, and controls
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational management skills with attention to detail
- Experience on MMR programs, including CWM and advanced geophysical classification
- Experience managing CWM projects for the USACE Huntsville Center and/or Redstone Arsenal
- Demonstrated proposal‑writing skills for Multiple Award Task Order Contract proposals
- Ability to market and win work successfully and effectively
- Advanced knowledge of DoD and USACE MMR focusing on CWM requirements and processes
- Excellent and relevant references
- Position may require travel
