Davies Talent Solutions represents a leading insurer seeking an experienced technology leader to drive the transformation of its core insurance platform. You will guide modernization of a legacy environment and shape the technology landscape of a well-established organization.

The role requires hands-on development with .NET, Java, or Python, leading distributed teams, and delivering scalable, cloud-enabled solutions in a hybrid setup just south of Boston.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Experience leading projects, mentoring developers, or managing teams.
• Strong hands-on development background in .NET, Java, or Python.
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to large-scale system transformation, migration, or modernisation programmes.
• Property & Casualty insurance experience is essential.
• Hybrid working arrangement with an office location just south of Boston.
• Competitive salary of $120,000-$150,000.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in a long-term transformation programme focused on modernising core insurance technology.
• Help guide the evolution of legacy applications into a more flexible, cloud-enabled environment.
• Provide technical leadership and support across development teams, with expertise in .NET, Java, or Python.
• Lead, mentor, and collaborate with both local and offshore engineering resources.
• Take ownership of technical delivery, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned to business needs.
• Work closely with stakeholders across technology, data, infrastructure, and the wider business to drive strategic initiatives.
• Encourage the adoption of modern engineering practices, automation, and continuous improvement.
