Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Payments Sales Director - Merchant Services to lead strategic client engagements in Commercial Banking. You will originate, develop, and close merchant services opportunities, aligning payment solutions with client needs and industry trends.

You will collaborate with Bankers, Treasury Officers, Product, Pricing, and Risk to deliver comprehensive solutions, manage a robust pipeline, and drive revenue growth across multiple client segments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of sales and relationship management experience in merchant services or payments.
• Proven ability to prospect, nurture relationships and close deals.
• Knowledge of merchant acquiring, pricing, card payments, and sales processes.
• Ability to translate client needs into compelling payment solutions and value propositions.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and executive communication skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, bankers, product and risk partners.
• Strong time management, pipeline management and strategic planning skills.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales and revenue goals as an individual contributor.
• Experience coordinating complex sales opportunities across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Grow revenue by prospecting, sourcing, and closing new merchant services opportunities while expanding existing relationships.
• Develop strategic dialogues around clients’ payment needs and business objectives.
• Collaborate with bankers and clients at senior levels to deliver merchant services solutions.
• Understand client payment environments to propose appropriate solutions.
• Lead the sales process from discovery through pricing, proposal, negotiation, and onboarding.
• Partner with Product, Pricing, Risk, Legal, and Implementation to move opportunities forward.
• Develop internal partnerships to identify opportunities within portfolios and generate new business.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline with accurate forecasting throughout the cycle.
• Propose new payment solutions and gather client feedback for product evolution.
• Deliver thought leadership on payment trends and merchant acquiring to clients.
