Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Merchant Services Business Development Vice President within the Payments Sales team in Palo Alto. This client-facing role partners with Global Corporate Banking, JPMorgan Payments, and Treasury Services to identify, qualify, and advance merchant services opportunities, delivering end-to-end solutions.

The role emphasizes go-to-market strategy, executive-level engagement, and collaboration across product and risk teams to shape client strategies and drive new business

Qualifications

• Five+ years in a customer-facing merchant services, acquiring, or payments role.
• Experience with strategic sales practices including buyer mapping and influence building.
• Ability to learn quickly in fast-paced environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to present clearly.
• Collaborative, cross-functional work across functions and cultures.
• Familiarity with B2B payments, software, and D2C tech.

Responsibilities

• Partner with bank coverage teams and JPMorgan Payments Treasury Services to develop account plans and position end-to-end solutions.
• Lead merchant account strategy for a Payments or Bank coverage team.
• Support prospecting, meeting prep, and follow-ups; craft proposals and RFP responses.
• Coordinate with product, pricing, legal, and risk on deal structuring; handoffs to implementation.
• Conduct market and competitive research to identify trends and whitespace opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product to deliver payment solutions customized to client needs.
• Support evolution of product sets with data-driven recommendations and upgrades.
• Maintain pipeline hygiene and reporting in Salesforce; build dashboards in Excel.
• Track progress against goals; provide updates to stakeholders.
• Invest in ongoing professional development via internal/external resources.
