Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Plano, TX is seeking a Payments Sales Director in Merchant Services to generate new business and expand client relationships. You will lead the sales cycle, tailor payment solutions, and partner with internal teams to deliver strategic payment acceptance strategies.

You will collaborate with bankers, product, pricing, risk, and implementation teams to drive revenue growth and deliver value to mid-market and commercial clients.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of sales and relationship management experience in merchant services/payments/financial services
• Proven ability to prospect, nurture relationships, negotiate, and close deals
• Solid knowledge of merchant acquiring, pricing, and payment acceptance processes
• Ability to translate complex client needs into compelling payment solutions and value propositions
• Excellent spoken and written communication, with senior-level stakeholders
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to move opportunities through the sales cycle
• Experience navigating multi-stakeholder sales with Internal and external partners
• Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals as an individual contributor
• Ability to develop strong relationships with clients, bankers and risk/credit/legal teams
• Adept at managing a sales pipeline and forecasting accurately

Responsibilities

• Grow revenue by prospecting, sourcing, and closing new merchant services opportunities while retaining and expanding existing client relationships
• Develop strategic dialogues around clients’ payment acceptance needs, objectives, industry trends, and opportunities to improve payments strategy
• Collaborate with Bankers and clients at senior levels to deliver merchant services solutions in a consultative framework
• Understand clients’ payment environments, transaction flows, and operational needs to position suitable solutions
• Lead the merchant services sales process from discovery to pricing, proposal, negotiation, and implementation
• Partner with product, pricing, risk, legal, and implementation teams to move opportunities forward
• Develop internal partnerships to identify opportunities within existing portfolios and generate new business
• Maintain an active sales pipeline with accurate forecasting throughout the cycle
• Bring forward new solution ideas and client feedback to product teams for enhancements
• Deliver thought leadership on payment trends and merchant acquiring strategies
