MainStreet Family Care in Burlington, NC is seeking a Patient Greeter to warmly welcome patients, guide them through self-check-in, and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure a smooth visit. You will help patients understand registration steps and assist with kiosk usage, while preparing for cross-training as a Medical Assistant.

The role emphasizes excellent communication, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to handle busy front-desk environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Friendly, approachable, and patient-focused personality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Comfortable learning and assisting with technology, including self-service kiosks.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and helpful when assisting patients who may be frustrated or unfamiliar with the check-in process.
• Prior healthcare or customer service experience is beneficial, but not required.
• Willingness to complete Medical Assistant cross-training.

Responsabilités

• Welcome patients and create a friendly, positive first impression
• Greet patients as they arrive and help direct them through the check-in process
• Assist patients with questions about the self-service check-in and registration kiosk
• Provide guidance and troubleshooting when patients have difficulty navigating the kiosk
• Help patients understand what information is needed to complete registration
• Ensure patients know what to expect during the check-in process without completing registration on their behalf
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-of-clinic environment
• Communicate with the clinical team when patients need additional assistance
• Help maintain a smooth and efficient patient flow within the clinic
• Complete Medical Assistant cross-training and maintain competency in applicable clinical responsibilities
• Assist with Medical Assistant duties when needed based on clinic staffing and patient volume
• Perform other duties as assigned
