Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in Shelby, NC seeks a Patient Greeter to be the friendly first point of contact for patients. You will welcome, assist with check-in, and guide patients through the registration process while learning Medical Assistant cross-training for potential clinical support.

Responsibilities include directing patients, answering questions, troubleshooting kiosk navigation, and maintaining a welcoming front desk.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Friendly, approachable and patient-focused personality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable with people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Able to learn and assist with self-service kiosks.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and create a friendly, positive first impression.
• Greet patients as they arrive and guide them through check-in.
• Assist patients with questions about self-service check-in and the kiosk.
• Provide guidance and troubleshoot when navigating the kiosk.
• Explain required information for registration.
• Ensure understanding of the check-in process without completing registration for patients.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming front-of-clinic environment.
• Communicate with the clinical team when extra assistance is needed.
• Support smooth patient flow within the clinic.
• Cross-train as Medical Assistant and perform applicable clinical tasks as needed.
• Assist with Medical Assistant duties based on staff and patient volume.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
