Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in Eden, NC seeks a friendly Patient Greeter to welcome patients, guide them through the check-in process, and connect them with the care team. You’ll be the first point of contact, assist with self-service kiosks, answer questions, and help maintain a calm, welcoming front desk environment.

Cross-trained as a Medical Assistant to support clinicians as needed. Hours rotate across a 14-day period; the role starts at $15 per hour with health, dental, vision benefits, a 401K

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Friendly, approachable, and patient-focused personality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable with technology, including self-service kiosks.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Calm, patient, and helpful with frustrated or unfamiliar patients.
• Healthcare or customer service experience is beneficial, but not required.
• Willingness to complete Medical Assistant cross-training.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and create a friendly, positive first impression.
• Greet patients as they arrive and direct them through check-in.
• Assist patients with questions about the self-service kiosk.
• Provide guidance and troubleshooting for kiosk navigation.
• Help patients understand required registration information.
• Ensure patients know what to expect during check-in without completing registration.
• Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming front-of-clinic area.
• Communicate with the clinical team when extra patient assistance is needed.
• Support smooth patient flow within the clinic.
• Complete Medical Assistant cross-training and stay competent in applicable clinical tasks.
• Assist with MA duties as needed based on staffing and volume.
